The Jungle Book movie is packed with suspense

The Jungle Book is nothing short of outstanding. The production hit the big screen April 15, 2016 and has been raved about by all who’ve seen it. IMDb.com rates the movie an incredible 7.9 out of 10. The graphics that bring all of the beloved animals to life seemed so realistic, and the adorable Neel Sethi playing Mowgli, made the movie an imaginative and beautifully created production. Best of all, the songs created for the original Disney version of the story were kept in this movie as well. I absolutely loved this movie and can’t wait for it to be on DVD so I can watch it over and over again.

Originally a book written by Rudyard Kipling in 1894, The Jungle Book has been interpreted and adapted throughout the years. The most popular version is the Disney animation created in 1967. With the upbeat music and vibrant colors, the both the animation and new movie was (and still is) a favorite for people of all ages. The story follows a boy named Mowgli who was abandoned in the jungle as a baby. A black panther, Bagheera, finds him and takes him to be raised by a pack of wolves. A few years later, the mighty tiger, Shere Kahn, hears news of the “man-cub” and vows to kill him before he becomes a man. Mowgli is banished from the jungle and must return to the village and Bagheera promises to get him there. Throughout their journey to the man village, Mowgli meets new animals including Baloo the laid back, free-spirited bear, Kaa the giant python snake and King Louis, ruler of the monkeys who has an obsession with “man’s red flower” or fire.  After all the twist and turns through the jungle, Mowgli finds his way home with a new sense of self and an abundance of new friends.

With the voices of Bill Murray as Baloo, Ben Kingsley as Bagheera and Scarlett Johansson as Kaa, this movie is so jam packed of stars it’s a must see. The upbeat vibe and constant suspense, this movie has got something for everyone. It is one of the best movies in theaters.
