The best pumpkin spice flavored foods to try this Fall

It’s that time of year again. Fall has officially arrived and with it comes menus and supermarket aisles filled with “pumpkin spice” versions of all your favorite foods. Ranging from Pumpkin Spice Lattes at Starbucks to pumpkin spice flavored hummus from Kroger, it is clear that the obsession with pumpkin spice has taken over commerical America. But with all of the different choices it can be difficult to sort out which products are worth your money as a consumer. In order to help buyers looking to try out some of these pumpkin spice products, the students of Panther Press and Miss. Hall’s English classes tasted nine different pumpkin spice flavored products and voted for their favorites.

Students ranked each product on a scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the worst and 10 being the best) for overall flavor and amount of pumpkin spice flavor or “pumpkin spiciness”. After the all the votes were tallied this was the ranking decided for the products we tasted based on overall taste.

Although the Lindor Truffles were the most popular pumpkin spice item, my personal favorite was the pumpkin spice caramel corn from Archer Farms. The caramel corn even had pumpkin seeds mixed in, which made for a fun and tasty, authentic addition. A favorite of mine that was not tested is the Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks. It is a little pricey compared to our other options with a small priced at $4.45, but in my opinion it is a classic fall treat that everyone should try at least once.

Hopefully this research will provide some insight for anyone hoping to embrace the fall spirit and try out the pumpkin spice craze this autumn. Be sure to comment your favorite pumpkin spice flavored foods.
