Starbucks’ Summer Menu

A new and refreshing summer drink lineup has made its debut at Starbucks this month. Including returning and brand new drinks, the variety caters to all taste buds. The selection offers a range of different frappuccinos- blended and flavored iced coffee- and other iced drinks.

  First is the Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino, which simply defined, is a more complex version of the classic Caramel Frappuccino. It still stays true to the delicious coffee and caramel combination but with the addition of dark caramel sauce, drizzle, and a crunchy sugar topping on a bed of whipped cream. While the drink has 60g of sugar in the grande size, it is certainly on the sweet side but worth every sip.

  The Dragon Drink has become the spotlight of the new menu. It starts with the Mango Dragon Fruit Refresher as a base and is mixed with coconut milk and real dragon fruit pieces to make a tropical and fruity summer beverage. This chill and delicious drink is sure to make you say “absodragonfruitly”.

  The large fan base of the S’mores Frappuccino made a social media presence, and convinced the company to bring back the celebrated beverage from last summer. It has complex layers, including a marshmallow base, dark chocolate sauce, and the coffee and vanilla blend. It’s all topped with marshmallow whipped cream and crumbled graham crackers. No campfire needed for the beloved s’mores flavor, just take a sip of this Starbucks seasonal favorite.  

  On the less sweet side, the Matcha Lemonade drink is a mixture of classic lemonade and green tea. While the drink was not released on the new menu, it is a unique beverage that is sure to calm the summer heat.

  Don’t forget to ask for a straw free lid on any cold drink to reduce the use of plastic straws and help the company omit them altogether by 2020.
