“Scariest Play– Ever” showcases new talent

The X-show, “Scariest Play–Ever!” was performed on Friday November 18th, and was directed by Karoline Betteridge. Betteridge was directing the play for her senior capstone project.

The play was comedy, doing parodies of different horror movies. It included lots of actors, including freshman, who got their first taste of the Darby drama program.
Some bright spots in the play include Tiarra Tufts, who played the secretary, and Jonah Beale, who played many different characters.

All the actors agreed that being part of this play was something special, including Sophomore Lexi Mohr.

“We’re all, like, really cool people, and we could have a lot of fun with it,” said Mohr.
One other thing that made this play special was the use of improv. Beale described it as, “What we kind of thought was that some of the jokes were kind of a bit stale, so we kind of just did our own thing…to spice it up.”

All in all, Betteridge was happy with the production.

“I’m just really proud of the actors and everything, even when they messed up they recovered really well, and I think we put on a great show,” she explained.
