Panthers faced fierce competition at Wildcat Premier

Panther runners raced against 15 teams on Saturday April 3 at the Hilliard Davidson Wildcat Premier track meet.
Freshman Julia Zahel and sophomore Kaysi Morris each cleared six feet in pole vault, to place in twelfth and sixteenth, respectively.
Junior Drew Black jumped a whopping 20 feet and six inches in long jump to finish in third place.
Female sprinters had a strong showing at the meet. Senior Sydney Phillips placed seventh in the 100-meter-dash finals, sprinting the distance in just 13.77 seconds, and junior Kiera Toliver placed sixth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.78.
In hurdles and long distance races, Junior Carter WIlliams placed third in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 41.95 seconds, and senior Spencer Strohm placed third in the two-mile race with a time of 10 minutes and six seconds.
The panther’s next meet is 4 p.m. today at Westerville South High School, 303 S. Otterbein Avenue.
