Orchestra’s concert brings food and music under one roof
Tuesday, October 4th Heritage and Darby’s Orchestras presented their annual fall concert and spaghetti dinner. Both high school and middle school students played
Friends and family of the musicians were able to purchase a ticket for a dinner of pasta, bread sticks, and salad while they watched the performance, yet it was free to just watch. All six levels of orchestras between the two schools gathered in the Heritage auditorium to play pieces such as “Riding the Rails” and “Jubilant Overture”.
Sophomore Elisa Buoni, a violinist in symphony orchestra, appreciates how concerts gives people a chance to see their achievements.
“We’ve been working hard on this music, and this is a great opportunity to show off our skills,” noted Buoni.
Their next concert, out of the four yearly, will be the Celebration Concert in December. This concert brings together the orchestra, choir, and band for a two night event.
