The morning after the last varsity football game for the season was another last for many. The Junior Varsity Panthers struggled against Dublin Scioto to get points on the board, but ultimately lost 14-7.

Saturday October 29th started off shaky, with Scioto scoring twice before halftime. Even though the Panthers were down, an attempt for a comeback was made with a touch down from 53,Ryan Benson, with a minute left in the quarter. This left the score at halftime as 14-7.

The second half was less exciting, with no points scored. Darby attempted another comeback in their last offensive play by quarterback Frankie Sopko throwing the ball, but unfortunately was unsuccessful. A block from player number 22, Nick Esposito kept Scioto from scoring once again in the last seconds of the game.

This was the last game of the season for the Darby’s football. Expectations are high for next year despite this loss! The Panther’s Junior Varsity football team had an overall record of 6-4.
