Gymnastics starts season with big win
The Darby gymnastics season started this month. The team scored higher in their first meet than their highest score from last year. The gymnastics team is preparing for this season. All Hilliard schools practice in the same venue at Bradley High School where they have all of the equipment to practice with.
On Saturday, December 10th, the team came in second out of four teams. Junior Chloe Shook took first place in bars and overall, and Sophomore Danielle McGhee placed third in the Quad Competition.
Chloe Shook expressed her feelings after her first place win.
“I’ve been in gymnastics my whole life, and school competitions are way better then club competition. I love all the girls that are on the team we all get along very well,” Shook elaborated.
The Quad meets with all Hilliard schools and other schools during the week. The team is practicing hard for the Saturday, December 17th competition at the Hilliard Invitational.
