Golfing girls compete at sectionals
Varsity girls golf had a great outing on October 4, finishing in the top half of the nine teams that competed at Canal Winchester. The golfers did not go to school on Tuesday, devoting all of their time to the impressive result at sectionals.
Freshman Morgan Bair explained how the scores are decided in high school golf.
“Most varsity golf teams have about six players, and so normally you just add up all of the player’s scores, and then compare,” Blair said.
The seniors led the way to this great overall result, and were supported by the lower classmen. It was evident the team had put in a lot of preparation, and Bair described how her dedication to the sport helped her to be match-ready.
“Whenever I am not at school, or sleeping, I am golfing… golfing is my thing now. I’ve done so much to prepare for Sectionals,” she said.
If Bair and the rest of the team can continue their hard work, it is evident that they will be a solid team for years to come.
