End of the season victory for Panther’s varsity football
It was the last football game of the season and the players were nervous to play against Dublin Scioto. With a tough session Darby won with a score of 9-7 against Scioto.
On October 28th, Darby was in the lead on the first half time by 7 points with 5:17 left on the clock. When the second half came, Scioto made a touchdown with 9:15 left in the third quarter. Darby played hard and scored two points at the last quarter with 6:51 left. This leading to Darby successful win with a score of 9-7.
Coach John Sinatra described his excitement after the win.
“I was proud of how our team finished the season. I felt they played really hard,” Sinatra said.
Senior Keegan Farrell expanded on all the excitement.
“This was the fifth game the Panthers have won in a row, so naturally senior night was a buzz with excitement,” Farrell elaborated,”Our last game was when that unity came to a head. Our younger players played their hearts out for the seniors and the seniors gave it everything they had for the last high school football game they would ever play and because of that effort we beat an extremely good Dublin Scioto team.”
The Varsity Football has an overall record this season with 7-9.
