DIY Winter Snowflake
This winter season get your craft on! Trying to find winter DIYs is challenging to do because most are Christmas/Hanukkah themed, but these 3D DIY winter snowflakes are just right for January. These snowflakes are simple to make and look nice for wherever you desire to put them.
- Six pieces of paper (any colors you choose)
Cut your paper into squares if not already. If the your paper is 8.5” by 11”, a simple way to cut it
into a square is to fold the corner to the other edge and line it up to fold then cut.
Fold the paper diagonally in half twice to make a triangle.
Cut three slots into the triangle from the side of the triangle with the fold. The cuts should be a little more than half way and each cut should be staggered slightly lower than the other.
Unfold the triangle flat out.
Take the innermost paper lines and take both points to each other and tape them to make a makeshift tube.
Flip the paper over and then take the second innermost paper lines and repeat by taping the points together.
Then repeat step five and six until there is no more paper lines left.
Make six other flakes just like step seven.
Take three and staple them together and do the same with three other. Make sure to put each flake side by side.
Staple the two new pieces in the center of the flakes.
Staple all flake sides together on where they meet
Hang the snowflake up by hanging a string from the center of the flake.
Hope you have fun making the snowflake and hanging it up in a beautiful spot. Have fun crafting!
