Darby artists display their best works of the year
The Art Show is put on every year as a chance for Darby students to show off their creativity illustrated through their art pieces. You can find it all at the Art Show, including drawings, paintings, digital art, photographs, and ceramic pieces.
Ms. Veri, the ceramics teacher, also sells different pieces of artwork that have not been claimed, or works that she has made as examples over the years.
The students love the Art Show, and love being a part of the Art Show. They enjoy being recognized for all their hard work and creativity exerted throughout the year, and love that they can share that with their classmates as well.
“Seeing my photos in the Art Show felt really good, because I worked really hard on my pictures. It was nice to be recognized for my hard work throughout the year, and I was happy to share my photos with the rest of the school,” said sophomore Kaitlyn Symanski.
Many students, even those that aren’t in the show, love to attend the Art Show to see all of their classmates’ art.
“I enjoyed the show and how interactive it was and inclusive as well, because so many people that I knew had their art displayed,” sophomore Madison Mason shared.
While the students love the Art Show, they did have some ideas on how to improve the satisfaction of the students.
“I think they can control the crowds better, and maybe if they have some of the artists there to explain the meaning of the art that would be super cool,” Mason revealed.
Thank you to all the artists for sharing your creative art with the students every year, and thank you to the art staff for helping the student’s ideas come to life!
