Last Thursday, May 3rd, the Boys JV and Freshman Volleyball teams faced off against Thomas Worthington. Both teams knew it would be a tough match and prepared mentally and physically. The JV Team played first, winning the first set 25-17, and then the Freshman Team played, managing an impressive win against a JV Team, with a score of 25-17.

The JV Team managed an early lead of 10-3, playing a great game and finishing the first set quickly. The Freshman started strong, and managed to keep the lead throughout the entire set, ending the game in two sets and leading to an outstanding game between the two teams. Freshman Volleyball player Coshel Caudill shared his thoughts on the game.

“I feel that we did very well and that improvement was clear from previous,” Caudill stated. Caudill also shared his thoughts on beating a JV Team in a set, “It felt extremely satisfying and great since they are on a totally different level than us, with them being a JV Team and us being a Freshman Team.” “We may need to improve a little in communication or passing, but we did really well and there would be no huge need to improve,” Caudill responded when asked where he thought the team could improve.

Boys JV and Freshman Volleyball will continue to compete on Tuesday, March 8th, when they compete at Hilliard Bradley at 5:30 P.M.
