Black Panther is more impressive than anyone could have thought

Black Panther is considered by some to be one of the best Marvel movies of all time. Not only is the plot of the movie fantastic, but it is the first Marvel movie with an African American protagonist. Black Panther has received praise from almost every person who has seen the movie and even received a 97% rating from RottenTomatoes.
The movie follows T’Challa, the prince of African country Wakanda. After his father’s death, T’Challa returns to Wakanda to not only become the king, but the Black Panther, a protector over the country. Soon after becoming king, T’Challa is faced with an enemy who becomes not only a threat to T’Challa’s rule, but a threat to all of Wakanda.
The strong and powerful women helped this movies seem very different from typical “superhero” movies as they dominated the screen with their powerful presence. Nakia, an undercover spy who is helping enslaved women in the opening scene is played by the Academy Award winning actress, Lupita Nyong’o. She is joined in the cast by Danai Gurira and Letitia Wright, playing their respective roles as the leader of the all-women Wakandan special force, and the 16 year old Wakandan princess and tech designer. The supporting roles in this movie are played to perfection by a very successful cast.
Chadwick Boseman, an actor who has played many influential roles in the past, brought T’Challa to life in a way many people would not have believed could happen. Boseman was first seen as Black Panther in Captain America: Civil War, and spends most of that movie trying to avenge his father’s death. Boseman is slated to play T’Challa in the next two Avengers movies, and a possible Black Panther sequel.
The movie is a perfect mix between action and drama and exceeded everyone’s expectations. You do not have to have seen any other Marvel movies before heading to the theater to see it, but it was a great movie for the Marvel cinematic universe. Black Panther impressed all audiences and is a must see.
