Wednesday, May 17th was the second to last choir concert of the year. The Concert Choir and Women’s Chorale performed several numbers last night, each bringing a new sound to the production. On Friday, April 28th, 95 Darby seniors attended the second annual Academic Signing. To be involved in this event, seniors had to earn at least $5,000 in scholarship and grant money per year, or $20,000 over four years. Senior Mariah Midgley got a unique opportunity for her capstone project. She became a Zoo Aide, a teen volunteer at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. Teens ages 13 to 17 have to apply and interview to become a Zoo Aide, then complete a total of 60 hours of service around different areas of the zoo. Midgley discussed the interview process
