Annihilation Exceeds Expectations of Critics and Fans Alike

Critics and audiences were blown away on Friday, February 23rd when Annihilation hit theaters. The movie, which was adapted from a novel by Jeff VanderMeer, surpassed many people’s expectations, including mine.   Directed by Alex Garland, the film follows Lena (Natalie Portman), a biologist and army veteran, who travels into a strange area called the “shimmer” to discover its eerie secrets.
